Well guys. We did it.
We drove for two and a half days stuffed into a MINI Cooper with two confused dogs clear across plains, mountains and a whooooooole lotta nothing at some points. But here we are. We made it!
If you follow me on snapchat (kiwi.snaps) you would have seen some of the hilarious photos I took in each state. It got weird. But I was tired. And now its gone forever. HAHA. thanks, snapchat.
When we finally got to our place it was about 10am local time. We got our keys, gave the pups a chance to scope out the place and we began to settle in. Fortunately, we were able to have out things delivered a few days ahead of schedule. We unpacked out crates one day at a time and in just a weeks time, it already feels like home.
I’ll eventually get some nicer photos once we’re totally finished with hanging things up, and once my bedroom doesn’t look like a disaster but for now, you get the idea.
But enough about that! Lets start talkng about why you’re REALLY here.
WEDDING SPAM
Trust me, I have more than enough for everyone.
We decided to have our formal photographs taken in advance of the actual wedding. My reasoning? The day of is stressful enough with trying to get everyone together and organized. I wanted the day of our wedding to be as simple and stress-free as possible. I had my dress, Ryan had his suit, I decided to go with silk flowers because, really, why spend the money on something that’s going to die in like.. 3 days? so we were all ready to go waaaay in advance. It just made the most sense to me. That way, we have more time to mingle and entertain with our families, right?
My dear, wonderful friend Colleen you may know her from her Instagram @macweenie is an amazing person, and truly the most creative and mind-blowing photographer. I don’t say that just because my friend… but it certainly doesn’t hurt. You can see it in her resting bitch face how much she genuinely loves her work. That’s not an insult, guys. Resting bitch face is not a bad thing…
Seriously, Colleen, I can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work and all of the amazing images you were able to provide for us. I knew they were going to be amazing, but as I was going through them, I literally cannot choose favourites. They’re ALL incredible.
